Mission Statement
Our vision is to heal the invisible wounds of military veterans. The mission of 22 Saves Hockey Foundation is to save lives by providing veterans a therapeutic ice hockey experience, increasing public awareness, educating, and mobilizing community assets to prevent veteran suicides. Our goal is to respond effectively to the increasing epidemic of suicides among military veterans and reduce the number of suicides. To reach this goal, 22 Saves Hockey will:
Increase public awareness of the statistically significant rate of suicides among military veterans
Contribute to community prevention and outreach efforts targeting military families as a vulnerable group through suicide prevention education programs
Offer workshops to educate veterans on stress management strategies
Provide additional social supports for veterans by returning them to a team environment
Provide financial assistance and other support to immediate family members of suicide victims
