Mission Statement
The MCVHA is organized to offer military men and women a structured environment to play the game of ice hockey, providing recreational therapy and fellowship for Veterans and their families.
Our goal: Provide the opportunity to more than 30 veterans with disabilities to compete with other veterans with disabilities from around the country, at no expense to the individual.
About the MCVHA: The Motor City Veterans Hockey Association was established in 2017 by a group of veterans with a desire to use the sport of hockey to help veterans throughout the community. The Motor City Veterans Hockey Association provides veterans and family members of all experience and ability the opportunity to develop their hockey skills and take part in outreach activities. With teams located in Troy, Novi, and Fraser, the MCVHA has opportunities for veterans throughout the Metro Detroit area.

MOTOR CITY AMBASSADORS MCVHA TRAVEL TEAM
The Motor City's flagship team, the Ambassadors, originally formed in 2017, prior to the official inception of the MCVHA. Then the Motor City Warriors, they competed in local, state, and national tournaments whenever they could bring enough players together. Today, they lay claim to two national-level championships, in 2018 and 2020. The Ambassadors assemble members throughout the program on an event-by-event basis, and participate in events based on the cumulative skills of the roster(s) they are able to put together for travel. This ensures that players are able to participate and experience these amazing events regardless of skill level, bringing our program closer together.
